The role of the board
The Board are collectively responsible for our management, direction and performance. The main functions of the Board are to:
- Agree on the society's purpose.
- Set our strategy and monitor performance.
- Set our annual budget, medium-term plan and approving capital expenditure levels.
- Manage our long-term interests.
- Oversee operations and manage risk within the society.
- Set our remuneration policy.
- Maintain an appropriate culture and set an appropriate tone
- Oversee governance arrangements.
