About this project
Principality Commercial has provided £26.5M development funding for Luxgrove Homes’ latest project, the redevelopment of the former convent, Nile Lodge on Queen's Walk in Ealing, West London.
Nile Lodge will address the challenges of a complex urban development while honouring the site’s historical significance. The project seeks to create meaningful value for the local community, reflecting the developer’s dedication to providing housing opportunities for key workers and professionals in the area.
James Ford, Senior Portfolio Manager at Principality Commercial said:
“I have had the pleasure of working alongside Luxgrove since 2016 and witnessing the remarkable evolution of the Group of companies. Luxgrove consistently strives to deliver best-in-class living solutions across the entire residential sector. This scheme is still in the early stages of development, and we look forward to sharing future updates on Nile Lodge. We wish Luxgrove every success with this exciting project.”
How we helped
This historic site is being transformed into premium micro-living accommodation, marking a major and much-needed addition to Ealing’s housing landscape.
Scheduled for completion in 2027, the development will feature 116 units designed in Luxgrove Homes’ signature contemporary style. The project preserves the building’s distinctive front façade while introducing a new five-storey structure behind it, complete with a co-working area, lounges and landscaped gardens.
Luxgrove Homes has collaborated closely with Principality Commercial since 2017 on numerous housing projects across London, including the recently completed Artscene development in Acton.
William McKenna, Director of Luxgrove Homes said:
“I am delighted with the progress on site and look forward to seeing the building take shape over the next 12 months. At a time when new housing delivery has dried up in London, this development will provide a much needed and varied rental offering to current and future Ealing residents. Principality have worked closely with us through a complex planning journey and we value the relationship we have built over the past decade.”
